How To Release Emotions So You Can Increase Your JOY!

It was the summer of 2016, I was in a total funk, completely emotionally and energetically drained and I didn't recognize myself. I knew I was destined for SO much more in my life, but I wasn't even able to muster any energy towards anything. For 6 weeks I suffered in silence, losing sleep, gaining weight and sabotaging my health in numerous ways.

I was entirely overwhelmed in every way; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I had lost faith in myself and questioned my life. I even wanted to quit my job to become a fashion blogger. I didn't feel worthy of what I truly wanted deep down so I buried it away to avoid the pain of not being able to have it.

I didn't realize how much my stagnant emotions were holding me back in my health and life.
I wanted SO MUCH MORE. I knew there had to be more for me in my life. I wanted my life to be full of purpose, passion, excitement. I was ready to live the life I really wanted but I didn't know how to. I was afraid to even acknowledge what I wanted in case I couldn't have it.

Enter transformation coaching, life coaching and emotional freedom support.

Coaching helped me reconnect to my why, my vision and what I truly wanted in life. I began to focus on my mindset, created a vision board and incorporated more health habits that brought balance to my health as a whole person.

I went through a major deep emotional cleansing. where I worked through a lot of issues that had been holding me back in my life; as a mother, a woman and an entreprenaur. I started to feel freer, lighter and happier. I lost weight, which was not even my intention. It was an amazing experience for me. It was a joy to be me again!

Emotional detox can be really intense as you go through it but it's powerful. It allows you to acknowledge your emotions and love yourself through all you feel.

What is Emotional Detox?


An emotional detox is just as important as a physical detox.

Certain healthy human emotions can turn toxic when you have reject them, judge them, suppress them, lie about them, or just decide that you would rather deal with them later. If you are tired of not having the life you know you were meant to live, even if it's in just one area of your life, I invite you to go into these emotions, identify them, see where they're stopping you, and begin the process that will clear the way for new exciting realities to emerge.

Just like detoxifying your physical body, it's not necessarily easy to detox your emotional body. But it is one of the most important things you will ever do.

Emotions play a massive part in how we feel. It's that beautiful mind-body connection, you are a WHOLE person.

Look at all the emotions you have not let go of that are impacting you now. Such as stuck emotions become a problem when they impact our day-to-day life in a negative way. It becomes a problem when you don't let these kind of emotions go.

I highly recommend it for women who want to become more empowered. What is Emotional Freedom?

Freedom from limiting beliefs, unconscious patterns and reactive emotions that are dictating the circumstances of your life. Emotional Freedom Technique specifically is a healing tool or modality that is based on the theory our emotions and physical symptoms are linked to the underlying energy system of the body. That energy system is the acupuncture meridian system known to the Chinese for thousands of years.

Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda both support the concept that our emotional experiences, in particular resentments, hurts and anger, contribute significantly to the development of disease in the human body.

While this EFT theory may sound odd to some of us still conditioned by the modern Western medical mindset, it's not new. In fact, it's far older than 'modern medicine' about 5000 years old. EFT works well because it embraces the secrets of Eastern healing traditions that have been overlooked by our western medical model.

Do YOU Need an Emotional Detox?

If you are still struggling with your health after already cleaning up your diet, skin care products, household toxins, implementing a fitness routine, running all the functional tests and are STILL not seeing the improvements for your health you would like. Girl, it's time for an emotional detox.

Things like not being able to lose weight, IBS, ongoing gut issues, adrenal fatigue that have not gone away through just nutrition alone; it may be time to detox your emotions.

Also, if you struggle with toxic emotions such as; 

1. Hurt -- victimization, helplessness, blame
2. Sadness -- self-pity, regret
3. Shame -- humiliation, embarrassment
4. Hopelessness -- loneliness, despair, desperation
5. Fear -- anxiety, panic, immobilization
6. Anger -- resentment, bitterness
7. Hate -- meanness, vengefulness
8. Jealousy -- envy, possessive
9. Pride -- better than, self-righteousness
10. Greed -- insatiable emotional hunger
11. Guilt -- self-blame, false responsibility bitterness, anger, frustration, heavy negative unhappy feelings that you can't seem to willpower away. Buried emotions from traumatic experiences that you buried to protect yourself.

These are likely the most common that many people struggle with. It's just important to be honest with yourself and recognize them so you can then work through them to rid yourself of their negative impact. There are many ways to do this, I started through emotional freedom technique and working with a coach. You are more than a physical body, your physical body is just the vessel that contains the rest of you. It's what's inside you that impacts your outer shell. So, getting into your emotional health is going to have a huge impact on your health symptoms. To help you release those heavy emotions and feel the freedom that comes with cleansing.
